A few things on my mind…. 12/17/2010

Have you ever seen the show “Kids Do the Darndest Things?!”  I used to watch it quite a bit, and I just realized that I never see it on T.V. anymore!  It was hilarious!  Another show that’s on quite a bit, but I hardly ever get to watch anymore is “The Nanny” with Fran Drescher  That show is usually pretty funny!

Has anyone heard of “white elephant” gifting?  It is pretty fun, but kind of impersonal.  My family has been doing this for Christmas every year for the past few years, and I’m kind of torn on whether or not I like it.  For this, everyone who wants to be in on it brings a gift that’s gender neutral and there is a set limit on about how much it should cost.  Then, at Christmas, or any holiday for that matter, you draw names of erveryone who is in on the gifting and whomevers name is drawn first gets to pick the first present and it can be theres that they brought or anyone elses.  Next, they open the gift and show everyone and then they pick the next name.  The next person gets to either choose the gift that the last person opened, or a new gift.  Then they open or grab the gift of the other person, and if they grab the gift from the other person, then the first person gets to pick and open a new one.  Once the second person has ended, they get to draw the next name, and the person has the option of taking either one of the first 2 gifts or a new one.  This continues until all of the gifts are open or until all of the gifts can no longer be “stolen.”  We have a rule where you can steal the gift 3 times maximum until the gift can no longer be stolen.  Some of the things that I DON’T like about this way of giving/receiving gifts is that you don’t necessarily end up with the gifts that you may want and people can collaborate and get things that they want, which leaves you stuck with something that you might not want.

Yet again, more randomness! 12/17/2010

The final schedule for this semester kind of stinks.  I wish it was all in one week that way we can just get it done and over with and not have a weekend to tease us in between!  It also ends so close to Christmas, which shouldn’t happen, in my opinion!

Last night I watched the final Shrek movie and it was pretty good!  I know it’s more of a kids movie, but hey, we are all kids inside!  Haha!  Plus I have seen the first three and only thought if I’ve seen the first 3, might as well see the last one!  Another good movie was the newest Harry Potter movie!  Even though I couldn’t follow it very well (which is my fault for seeing them out of order and for not watching the one that comes right before it before going to see it), I still enjoyed it.

End of the semester!!!! 12/17/2010

Wow.  This semester has come and gone so quickly!  It could have gone a little slower and left me some time to get more of my homework done!  But overall, it was a decent semester.  But now the bad part, FINALS.  Good luck to everyone on their finals and final projects and whatever else there might be left to do in the semester.  Until next month enjoy your nice long breaks!

I know this blog hasn’t gone as smoothly for me as it should have, but it was something that is good to know, since it seems like everyone might be doing this in the future with the way technology is going!

Randomness of the week! 10/31/2010

I recently saw the movie Jackass 3D.  That was a hilarious movie and if you like funny, then you should definitely see it! I laughed so  much and more than I have in a long time!

Can you believe stores already have Christmas stuff out?!  I work at Wal-mart and Christmas stuff has been out for a week or longer!  To me that’s just rediculous!  It wasn’t even Halloween, let alone Thanksgiving and there’s already Christmas stuff?!  It seems like that kind of stuff comes out earlier and earlier each year.

No time….

I feel like I have no time to do anything ever!  I feel like I’m always either working, in class, working on homework or sleeping!  I don’t have any days off during the week from everything (it’s always work, school, or work and school) and I think it’s taking it’s toll on me!  Anyone else feel the same way?! Or at least know where I’m coming from?

My Very First Blog :-S 09/22/2010

This is my first blog ever!  I’m not really sure what I am going to “blog” about yet, but I’m sure things will get better once I get the hang of things more!  I’m thinking about just doing my random thoughts of the day/week or just interesting things that I hear/learn, etc.
